Tourist Visa
On October 01, 2007 the Nigerian Government implemented a two step application process. In order to apply for a Nigerian visa of any type you must complete and transmit an Online e-Application. When properly completed the application will be confirmed and a Payment Acknowledgement Receipt issued. (Print a copy of the Visa Confirmation and your Payment Acknowledgement Receipt)
Step One (fully completed ONLINE).
Note: Follow the step by step online instructions. Your application must be submitted online and the appropriate Consular fee paid for by credit card online ($112USD). When confirmed, please print a copy of your Application Acknowledgment Slip and Payment Receipt Confirmation mail both to us for processing, along with all other requirements detailed above. Failure to fully complete the visa application form will delay processing the visa.
The embassy will charge an additional $20 processing fee per application plus $65 if the application is needed on a rush basis. These fees are to be paid separately through us.
Step Two
- Submit your U.S. Passport (must have at least 6 months remaining validity)
- 1 Printed Application form and Payment Acknowledgement Receipt (from Step One above).
- 1 passport type photograph (2x2)
- Consular fee of $20.00 (pay by money order, cash, or credit card)
- Copy of round-trip airline tickets
- Copy of hotel confirmation
- Religious visitors and missionary workers will require pre-approval from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Nigeria
- Copy of recent bank statement in your name that indicates sufficient funds for travel (or ask your bank for a "Visa Letter").
- MINORS:
- Copy of birth certificate of child
- Signed, notarized letter of consent by both parents.
- Copies of both parents passports (bio date page)
- Postal Money Order made out to the Consulate of Nigeria for :

- A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Nigeria, Visa Section,
The letter must state all of the following:- The nature of the business performed
- The name and address of the business reference to be visited
- Company guarantee of sufficient financial support for the visit
- Guarantee return transportation to the USA.
- The business letter should be signed by a company officer other than the applicant.
- Letter of invitation from company to be visited in Nigeria
- Postal money order made out to the Consulate of Nigeria:
